When I was visiting the Art Museum in Cincinnati, OH - it was pouring down rain. I walked outside and I happened to take a gorgeous picture of drops of water on these leaves.

This picture was taken in a town on the California coast next to Morro Bay. It is a beach community that is known for its sand dunes, only a few yards away from the water.

This technique is called a Polaroid Manipulation - It has a nice squiggly feel to it and the image is still readable.

When I was in Miami, FL I loved going to Parrot Jungle and Flamingo World. This flamingo looks almost fake, I wanted to take it home and put it in my front yard!

The Blue Ridge Mountains are a beautiful part of North Carolina. I was on my way to Boone, NC, when I found this quaint little log cabin in the middle of lush trees.

When I went to Nashville, TN (specifically, the Hermitage, the historic home of Andrew Jackson), the parking lot was filled with dozens of vintage Rolls Royce's. I enjoy taking pictures of classic cars and these were certainly in great shape.

Obidos is a charming little village in Portugal that does not look any different now, then it did 300 years ago. The buildings all have a yellow or blue border on them. This town is also known for its cherry liquor - delicious.

This is my favorite photo in a very interesting series. Seeing the reflection of the palms in the pool is a great example of not seeing what is actually there.

This is one of my experiments with Polaroid transfers. As soon as the transfer was complete, I colored over it with chalk pastels. I was very pleased with the saturated photo.

I was in Napa Valley, CA on a dreary, rainy day in January. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to capture the character of the old gnarly grape vines. I applied a sepia and a polaroid transfer technique to this photograph to give it an old, classic look.

I took this photograph while I was at an antique car show in San Diego, CA. I'm always looking for something unusual and graphically interesting to take a picture of, and the wheel and tire detail definitely caught my attention.

These plump grapes were taken in Sonoma, CA. The grapes are harvested between September and October. We have an oil painting technique that was applied to the photograph to get this look.

I have been actively involved in art and photography for over thirty years. I was born and raised in San Diego, CA and attended the University of California in Santa Barbara where I studied printmaking and Art History. During my semester at Sea I studied art throughout Europe, Africa and South America. I also hold a teaching credential. I began working in art galleries at 16 and started my own business in 1971 as an art consultant. I have been a photographer for over 25 years and am very enthusiastic about experiementing with techniques such as hand coloring, polaroid transfers and digital manipulation.
